Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, Aviano Italy), American actress. Amy Lou Adams is famous for portraying naive characters that are charming and likable. Adams was born and raised in Castle Rock Colorado, as one of the seven kids who was her smallest. Her father was serving in U.S. service in Italy. Adams began performing and dancing professionally around the middle of the 1990s, with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and after that, The Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she joined an area theatre located in Minnesota where she was cast in a mock documentary film about beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Following her successful screen debut with the role of an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet relocated from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began professional acting.
