Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was first person to reach a flawless 10 in an Olympic event. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci when she was just seven years old. Her first competitive event was The National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she won. She won three golds in her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972, which was a the communist bloc nations. Between 1973 and 1974 she won the junior all-round champion. In her first international competition as a senior, in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion winning four gold medals as well as one silver. In 1976 she became the first person in the world who used a double backwards salto for a dismount off the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business began during her teens, when she began performing as a figure skater with her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol was a professional in the entertainment business when she was a teenager. As a young girl she started her career as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
