Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the teenager age. After training in kickboxing boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was 18 years old. Ladd was on a stunning 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent within the first round. Following that, she travelled to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian, before heading to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia gave Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's amateur career. Ladd bounced back from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills took down McGill as she was able to end her in the third round via TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at catchweight (138.1lb) As Ladd had missed weight. However, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. Aspen won her fight by KO in the 2nd round. Her final fight with the promotion, she defeated Sijara Eubanks in a an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round at the end of the 2nd. She remained dominant as she picked up an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd was victorious at the start of round one, and was awarded the performance of the Night Prize. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her debut major fight.
